Train from Toulouse to Rennes (or flight)

tolka writes in General

Hi
Could someone help me please? I need to get a train or preferably a flight, from Toulouse(will be getting a lift to Toulouse airport) to Rennes on 6thAug evening say from 4.30pm o'clock onwards. There isn't a flight that I can see either that doesnt involve a change over in Paris or a long wait. Will fly if one sees a flight though! Aternative arrival airports could also be Nantes, Brest or Lorient or in Brittany anywhere?

A direct non stop train or flight would be preferable a I don't want to be on it for 10 hours+. I'm not familiar with the types of service on offer. so if anyone can help me I'd be very grateful. Thanks a lot.

I don't think you'll get a direct train but a quick search of http://www.voyages-sncf.com/ gave 3 different routes of various duration
Toulouse-Paris-RennesToulouse-Le mans-RennesToulouse-Nantes-Rennes
Journey time varied between 9hrs and 11 hrs depending on which connection one needed on wait on.
I have traveled the Toulouse-Nantes route.
Don't forget, that with check in times and all the other hassles of flying that even a 'quick' internal flight normally takes 6-7 hours all in.

I always use this site:- http://www.skyscanner.net/

Currently giving one flight with AIr France at £403(!) single and too early for you anyway. But the site is usefull for future use.
